Alex Rider: Stormbreaker
Alex Rider stormbreaker is the first book in the series. Alex Rider is just a normal teenager but when MI6 Britain’s top intelligence agency calls him in to finish the job his uncle, Ian Rider, started. After weeks of training he is finally ready to go face to face with the man who help killed his uncle. An exciting quad chase, giant jellyfish, former circus actors and much more. The setting is set in England’s country side and the bustling city. The main characters are Herod Sayle owner of Salye Enterprises, Nadia Vole Herod Salyes personal assistant, Mr. Grin the former circus actor and current butler to Herod Salye, Alex Rider, Alan Blunt head of operations on Alexs mission, and Yessen Gregorovich Ian Riders killer. I think the basic theme of the story was that you don’t have to be an adult to stop a madman. I think it was a good book because of all the action and cliffhangers.
I read The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. In the beginning, the four main characters, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie arrive at an enormous mansion which their mother has sent them to so as to avoid the Nazi air raids on London during WWII. The estate is owned by a rich Professor. The second day they remain indoors due to the rain. While exploring the house, the children come across an all but empty room containing nothing but an old wardrobe. Once her sister and brothers had moved on, Lucy, being a curious little girl, steps into the wardrobe and looks around. Venturing deeper in, she discovers that she no longer feels something quite prickly and cold, unlike the soft fur coats shallower in to the wardrobe. Exploring more of the area, Lucy finds that there is a peculiar sight ahead: a lamp post among the trees. I wouldn’t want to spoil the book for any who haven’t read it, so this is where I will stop. I highly recommend this book to any Sci-Fi lovers, and I am currently reading the next chronicle by C. S. Lewis, The Horse and His Boy, and I already enjoy it.

One of the AR book I’m currently reading is The Royal Diaries: Cleopatra VII Daughter of the Nile. This book is Princess Cleopatra’s diary. The book takes place 57 B.C., in Egypt. This book is by Kristiana Gregory. After making some bad political distinctions, King Ptolemy Auletes, the pharaoh of Egypt Fled to a secret place, so he wouldn’t have another murdered adept. Tryphaena, Cleopatra’s eldest sister, wants very much to be queen. Tryphaena is always mocking their father about being a poor leader. At the part of the book where I am there have been numerous death threats on Cleopatra’s life. She is currently on a boat to Rome with her father. They are going to ask Julius Caesar to aid them in bringing down Tryphaena’s newly found kingdom. Cleopatra hopes that Caesar will help, so they can go back to there home in Egypt. I think this book is really well written, and I think that it’s adventurous.

I'm reading the book Beach Road by James Patterson. It's about a New York lawyer naimed Tom Dunleavey that got a tripple hommicide case. The three people that were killed are named Feif, Walco, & Rochie. Everyone is pointing their fingers at Toms client an NBA bound highschooler named Dante Halleyville. After Tom convinces Dante to turn himself in he's charged with a fine of six million dollars. But the wierd thing is it was supposed to be with in reach of his low income family. So now Tom his to figure out who the realy murder is with the help of his partner Kate Costello. Which is really hard since all of their suspects are being murdered right under thier noses. The story takes place in the East Hamptons of New York along with other areas of New York. The main Charecters are Dante, Tom, Kate, Clarence Dante's uncle, Dante's grandma Marie Scott, & Tom's trustey dog Wingo. The theme is that you can't judge someone to quickly or by their cover. So far i think it's a really good book. Because it's suspenceful & it keeps you on your toes.

Skeloton Key: Alex Rider Adventure
I am reading an A.R. book called Skeleton Key by Anthony Horowitz for language arts class. This book has slam-bang action, spying, and high tech gadgets……a non-stop thriller. There are 4 series of books by this author and I hope to read all of them. I don’t know if I like this book……..yet because I just started reading this book on Tuesday. I think this is a good book for people who like mystery, or spy books. I think I will like this book because it’s the book before Eagle Strike which I’ve already read and enjoyed reading. I think I might like this Skeleton Key. Next I plan to read Point Blank, and then Storm Breaker. These are fictional or a non-fictional books that you must read because once you read one of them you’ll want to read all of them including the brand new one coming out.
What I’ve read so far is about two men who go to an island to collect their money from a professor who gets treated bad by the men collecting their money. So as the two men collect the money the professor said “Have a nice flight”. The two men got on board their plane and the pilot was confused because the runway lights had switched, but he didn’t know a thing about it. The two men and the pilot left at night and as soon as the plane reached great speed the runway lights switched again making the plain crash into a swamp full of crocodiles. The professor had planed it all along. I cant wait to see how the story ends.

Jason & Kyra by. Dana Davidson
The book I’m currently indulging in is Jason and Kyra. This book is about how true love isn’t about who you are or your station in high school. We meet Jason, the typical high school cliché’ with a twist he’s super sensitive. He finds that he is mildly attracted to Kyra. Kyra is a brain, but in Jason’s eyes also a beauty. Kyra and Jason are paired together in there AP English classes and soon….well you’ll just have to see. I‘ll give you a hint: someone ends up heartbroken, is it Kyra, Jason, or someone else. This book not only has young love and what can happen if you put your mind to it, but It also shows you never know who is watching you and loving what they see. I would recommend this book to a mature audience and maybe a girl. The next book ill read is Just Listen.

The End
The End is the last book in the Lemony Snickets’ Series of Unfortunate Events. This story is about three characters named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. This story is mostly about the world’s treachery, against them. The Baudelaires are stuck on an island after being with a villain named Count Olaf, which was horrible because they were washed up on a costal shelf. Once they get there they don’t know what to do. But once a girl finds them, then takes them to an island, they think there are completely far away from the worlds treachery. The plot of this story is mostly about how The Baudelaires’ parents were on the island, but they wanted their children to live a better life by not telling them secrets. I think the the dumb thing is that, the Baudelaires’ parents never told them one secret about anything they had done, only so they won’t think about any bad guys probably trying to chase after them. I think their parents could have told them one secret so that, they would know who’s a bad or good guy. The weirdest thing to me is that the author Lemony Snicket always tells the readers at the beginning of the book to stop reading it. But the only reason he says that is because, he doesn’t want readers to read an awful, bad, terrible book about how children lives are completely horrible.

The book I just finished reading is a hero aint nothing but a sandwich. It is a book is about a kid who becomes addicted to drugs. His name is Benjie Johnson he is 13. He lives in the inner city in the projects with his Mother, grandmother, and mother’s boyfriend. The theme is all about a boy getting over not having his father home with him. The whole plot is a boy getting over his addiction. He is learning to trust different people like his teachers and his mother’s boyfriend. The people in his life want him to do things on his but he wont do something with someone believing in him I think it is a good book but you have to have an acquired liking of books were the characters could be based off real people. The book is narrated in first person but each character’s is from another’s person’s point of view on a different part of the story.

Durango Street
Durango Street is about a young teenager (Rufus) who keeps running into the law and finally got caught. He got sent to a discipline camp, instead of going to juvenile. Most of the story takes place on Durango Street and around that neighborhood. The main characters in the story are Baby Gibson, Rufus, Janet, and the social worker. . The first time Rufus meets the Gassers is when he’s walking down the street with his little sister Janet to get milk for his mom and out of nowhere they throw bottles at him and his sister. Just after that the police asked Rufus threw the bottles at them and he told the police officer that the Gassers did it. From then on the Gassers were after Rufus until the end of the story. At the end of the story the Moors which was Rufus’s gang threw a party and the Gassers showed up and gave Rufus and his gang respect. I think the message the author is trying to tell us is that you don’t have to join a gang to be protected and that your worst enemy can turn out to be your friend. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I would recommend this book to people in middle school.
The Beasties
By Jerome Dawn
The AR book I am reading recently is called Beasties. It has come to be a very interesting book, which surprised me a little and I would recommend this book to people who just like good books. The main characters are Doug, Colette, and of course the beasties. The main sub- character is Crazy Al. The setting of this book is in modern day times and takes place at about the beginning of a school year. Doug is the older brother of Colette, he is a sophomore in high-school, and he is an average student in class. His little sister on the other hand is a braniac, 10 years old in the 5th grade, and she practically has no social life because she spends most of her time with her nose in a book. Crazy Al is a boy that Doug is forced to hang out because he is the only boy in the neighborhood to talk to; he has a very big imagination and is always making up stories. One day while out playing with Al was when Doug mentions that the family was going to in wilderness part of town because his mother and father had business there when Al whispers to himself “that is where the beasties live”! He told Doug and Colette to stay away from the woods and houses next to the woods, and also he told them to keep away from logging sites. The trip to there new house took several hours until they pulled up at the ranger station and noticed that the ranger who greeted them had a missing ear. When they arrived to their house the it was a wooden house with a front porch that had a screen porch, and behind it was a view of the woods .After they were done unpacking Doug and Colette went exploring, while exploring they found a book and a bat lying on the ground. They took it with suspicion of who could have left them there, Colette came to the conclusion that they were gifts, but Doug thought there was more to the situation. The next day they woke up and they see an old woman in the kitchen making breakfast, she happened to be the house keeper that came with the house. But the weird thing was that she was wearing a Halloween mask. It just so happened that the lady had lost her nose in accident, Doug was the only one to notice and find a connection with the housekeeper and the ranger. After breakfast Colette decided to go outside and explore to see if there were more of what she thought was presents. While outside Doug and Colette found a hideout right where they took the book and bat. When Colette was trying to explore the underground hideout she fell in and she brought her brother with her. Not only did they fall in but the door shut on them so that they were trapped! While trying to escape they came across the horrid beasties. Their appearance is very disgusting they are short and are a very pale color with big eyes and burlap sacks for clothes. In order to escape and return home safely they had to help the beasties with there activities. In turned out that only thing on the beasties minds` were war, against the human race…

Harry Potter and the Half- Blood Prince
Danger, exciment, and advencher is just some of the things you will find in Harry Potter and the Half- Blood Prince is the sixth book in the Harry Potter series. This book is by J.K Rowling, a famous author and Time For Kids person of the year of 2007. This book contains the usually characters Harry, Ron, Hermione Dumbledore, and rest of the students and teachers. There is a new teacher named Professor Slughorn who teaches Potions class and of course the first year students.
The setting is London, England in modern time. What I mean by modern is in the here and now.
I haven’t gotten gotten that far but as far as I can tell it’s a good book. I say this because I have the other five and they have all ways kept me on my seat with each passing chapter. I can’t wait until I finish this book and start on the seventh book. I give this one bit of advice once you start the Harry Potter books you will get hooked on them like a fish to a fishing hook.

Teenage drama, boyfriends, prom, and graduation day to deal with all in one week. All this happens in the volume called Prom. Prom is mostly about how Ashley is not really excited for prom to come up, but all of her friends can’t wait until prom comes. To graduate she has to keep all her grades up, serve all of her detentions, and turn in her library books on time. I’m not going to tell you the whole story. If you have a chance to read it you’ll figure it out real soon. The setting of this book is mostly remains around Ashley’s high school, but her job, and at home are the minor settings of this book as well. Another part of the setting is it’s in the modern days it has cars, computers, and a lot of technology. The main character of this book is Ashley. The minor characters of the book are her little brothers Billy, Shawn, and Steven, along with Natalia, Monica, and TJ who help her out when times get rough.
The theme of this book is to reach for your goals even if something is hard and you can’t do it. There might be hard times in life, but if you just keep your head up and reach for your goals life might get easier.
My opinion is that if you like teenage drama and you dream of prom and graduation you should read the book Prom. Also it’s a really great book, and you won’t be able to put it down because as you read its gets more interesting.

There is a young boy name Danny Walker, and he is a talented basketball player who love basketball. He has a best friend and his name is Will he is 12 years old. There is a girl named Tess she is also 12 years old .But he is to small to make it for the 7th grade basketball team. His dad Richie, who doesn’t live with them come and goes but he decided to help Danny with trying to do basketball. His dad believes responsibility of team helping lies in Danny’s hands. Danny’s mom is a fabulous teacher who helps student in her class. Danny practices over and over in the driveway until he gets plays/passes down pack. His mom is a tutor on the side to provide Danny with a computer for Christmas.
In the book that I just finished that’s name was Walk Two Moons had a half setting. The book did not give the time but it did give the place. The place that they are at is Ohio the place that they are going is Idaho.
The theme is mainly “Don’t judge a man until you have walked in his moccasins. Moccasins are a type of shoe. The theme means don’t talk about or judge someone until you know what they are going through.
The main characters in this book are Salamanca, mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, Phoebe, Mrs. Winterbottom, and last but not least Phoebe’s father Mr. Winterbottom.
The summary of this book is a girl named Salamanca, her mother moved away to Idaho. Now she has to go to Idaho and try to get her mother to come back to Ohio with her. On there she told some stories about a friend whose mom ran away because of a lunatic. Also on there way a few things happen. Like her grandmother got bitten by a snake. And another was her grandmother had a stroke and died. After her grandmother died her grandfather told her that she could drive up to where her mother lived. On her way there something happened. So the police took her to see her mother. To her surprise she was taken to a grave that had her mother’s name on it.
If you would like to know what happens next you will have to read the book. I think this book deserves five stars because this is the best book that I have ever read. I liked this book because it has a lot of interesting things in it. Like all of the events in it.

I am reading an A.R. book called Remnants by K.A. Applegate for my English class. This book is awesome I have been reading Remnants for quite a while now this book is such of surprises like it gets interesting every time I read it. But this book is a fiction book it don’t matter if it is fiction or non- fiction it only matters if its good or not. This book is about war between Remnants and Marauders these too groups are fighting for their land or home. There are other books called survival, breakdown, and destination unknown and I if you do read Remnants you be wonting to read the new books that are coming out soon.
What I read so far I that a girl named echo was captured by the Marauders and are keeping her prisoner in a basement at their layer but one of the men from the Remnants side is trying to find her and get her out of the Marauders territory but if the man name lyric is caught trying to save her he will be killed and I can’t wait what happens at the end.

Forged by fire is actually one of my favorite book. It’s about a boy named Gerald and his younger sister Angel. Who have a hard life living with their mom and Gerald’s step dad angles real dad. Their dad always is miss treating them hitting them and saying that he will kill Angel’s cat if she doesn’t do what he says. Gerald protects Angel from his step dad so she won’t get hurt but in him trying to help her he gets hurt even more.
The book takes place around our times about 1998-2000. In Atlanta, Georgia where he lived with is Aunt until she died then he moved with his mom and step dad they also live in Atlanta. He lives in a apartment with his parents.
Gerald the main character in the book is very courageous and willing to help save his little sister. Angel is full of dance and music she is very quiet and shy. The step dad is mean and angry and will hurt them to get his way. There mom is beautiful and scared to stand up for her children.
The theme of the book is showing how many people grow up in a abusive world and need help. It’s also showing that family if they really love you they will protect you no matter what the cause. Even if that means they get hurt instead of you.
I would really recommend this book to any one who is willing to try some thing new .Also I would recommend this book to people who like a type of murder and mystery.

Book report
The Third summer of sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is all about friendship. The characters are Libby, Carmen, Lena, and Bridget.
The plot is on the story is that the four best friends never went away from each other, and now they are going to four different colleges, so this is there first time being away from each other.
The setting is at a whole lot of places like the senior dance or Tibby’s house. I think the moral of the story is that you can’t break up friendship. I think it is a good, because it really talks about friendship. It is all for the people who really like their friends.
I think are that friendship is really important to your life. Friendship really helps you grow in life, and really learn about them. Friendship is like a special feeling that you never had before. Friendship is another heart forming.

Hostile Hospital
The Hostile Hospital
Once again back with the Baudelaire orphans, The Hostile Hospital is the eight but not the final book of the “Series of Unfortunate Events” saga. Violet the eldest, Klaus the middle child, and Sunny the youngest end up at a hospital called Heimlich Hospital, where once again their fears return when Count Olaf returns. Count Olaf is the villain in this story because no matter where the children go they always run into Olaf. Why? He’s after their fortune—the Baudelaire fortune. In a desperate attempt to find a file in the Library of Records to prove their innocence—since according to the newspaper known as The Daily Punctilio, they’re murderers—these three children must race against time or be faced being put in jail or worst—killed by Olaf. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good action packed story. Something that I also insist is that to fully understand this story to start with the first book and continue throughout the entire series for a fast- paced ride.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a very good book. I am reading it for Accelerated Reader. Harry is a 16 year, going on 17, old boy who has hade a very troubled past. His headmaster at Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, has died recently in the book. Before he had died he told Harry a mission that he had not started, but wanted Harry to finish it. He told his friends, Ron and Hermione, about the mission he had to do. They agreed to go with him. They said good-bye to there family. The three of them started on there journey. On there way to get to safety they got chased down by Death Eaters. The Death Eaters wear black robes, they work for Voldmort, and they also kill people. They got to the place were they needed to be before they got killed. Then when they got to where they were suppose to all of the other people started to show up.
The next day they found out they there was a wedding to plan. A few days later the wedding was ready for people to come. As the reception started more Death Eaters had come. Harry, Ron, and Hermione left right after the Death Eaters came. They ended up Nocturne Alley; they went into an old pub. They sat down and had coffee, then that was when some Death Eaters started to throw spells at them. They were quick enough to doge them and to fire back. They got out of there and went to Sirius Blacks house, now its Harry’s; they stayed there for a wile. That is were I am in the book. If you like to be thrilled read any books in the Harry Potter volume.

I think that Jason & Kyra is one of the best books I’ve read lately. This book is in modern time; it is also a great levelof reading that I have reached with reading books by this auther. The theme of this book is yung love and the trust that you have in your significant other. Jason and Kyra are kind of different. Jason is the type that everybody knows and wants to talk to. Kyra is the one that has friends but is normally quiet. Now they get paired up for a project in a AP class that they have together. They end up falling in love with one another after Jason realizing that he can talk to Kyra about anything even his abusive father. Kyra hears this rumor that Jason cheated on her after they started to go out. This is something that she did’nt think to investigate or ask Jason about she just acused him. they in the end get back together after breaking up they discussed the whole situation and now trust each other with confidence.
I would recommend this book to any one that likes a good love story.

The book I read was called Tyrone’s Betrayal. It’s a very emotional book. He goes thru a lot in this book. The characters in this book are Maya, Rina, Ankiza, Tommy, Juanita, and Dr. Martinez. This book is about love and forgiveness. This book has many horrible actions. From a scene in this book is when he wakes up to his mom and dad arguing and he said, “Here it goes again.” The type of message this author is trying to bring out for young readers is don’t put your dreams on hold always achieve what you start. If your parents split out don’t get strung out on drugs or alcohol that will make you do things that you will later regret. The setting in this story is in a California in the middle class neighborhoods. To me this book is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I got really mad for when I finished this book. When I was reading it I would sit there and take some time to think about the different things I do in my life.

A.R. summary
Dial L for Loser
Just as the Pretty Committee is getting bored with being expelled and Massie begins worrying about losing her spot as the most popular girl, Claire is cast in a Hollywood film. Massie, the pretty committee leader gets jealous of Claire, a new member of the club; because she is getting all the attention that they are use to, because of Claire’s starring of a new movie called “Dial L for Loser” a few weeks later after getting expelled from school from getting lost in the woods on a ski without them telling the supervisor where they went. The pretty committee members are Massie, the leader, Dylan, Alicia, Kristen and the new member Claire. I like this book because it good for reading for fun and it is funny, it also talks about cliques, crushes and plenty more. Also in this book Claire has a boyfriend named Cam, she doesn’t have time for him anymore because her fame and she kind of regretting the movie in a way. I think this book is a good book because it relates to girls who have the same attitudes as the characters and like to do the same things as Massie and her friends do.
